Community

The community at Teesside International Airport is currently based north of the runway next to the airport terminal building. Long-term businesses include TNT, and Paragon Rapid Technologies Limited. The aviation services and technology firm Draken Europe (formerly Cobham Aviation Services UK) has been here for over 25 years, and they have announced plans to expand operations by constructing a new 5,000 square foot hanger facility to house more aircraft. The International Fire Training Centre, operated by Serco, is also based at the airport and trains firefighters from all over the world. The community is only set to grow with plans for the development of a business park on available land to the southside of the runway.
